Playing to learn
I learn by diving deep into whatever has my attention right now.
I immerse myself fully. I read it, watch it, listen to it.
And as soon as I feel comfortable, I start doing.
I always want to get my hands dirty as quickly as possible when something excites me. I don't understand how people can spend days learning the theory before they even attempt the practice.
It kills the vibe for me.
I love to nerd out about whatever is currently on my radar.
These days, I'm trying to get the hang of GTD. The way I recharge is by listening to podcasts, watching videos, and rereading the book. I love seeing how other people have made it work for them.
I genuinely enjoy finding that little trick that makes a GTD system feel just a bit more elegant.
I don't know a better way to learn.
Some people want the map before they start the journey.
I'm the opposite.
I need to start walking before I can understand where I'm going.
That's why learning feels closer to playing than studying.
The excitement comes from figuring things out one step at a time. From uncovering the map as you go.
That's the part I love most.
